Site-Licensed Software

The university currently has a site license for the following pieces of commercial software. This means that the software can be installed on any university-owned machine on campus. Please contact the ITS Help Desk if you would like to have any of the following installed on your university-owned computer.

  • Chem Bio Office
  • ESRI ArcGIS Desktop
  • Mathematica
  • Microsoft Office
  • Minitab
  • SAS

As a current student or faculty/staff member of UNC Asheville you have access to select software titles either free or at significant discounts. Please note that this software is for personal (home) use and should not be installed on university-owned computers. ITS does not support personal equipment or software.

Adobe Products Discount Download from vendor portal. Requires an @unca.edu email address.
ESRI ArcGIS Desktop FREE Faculty request through vendor portal. Requests on behalf of students must be made by a faculty/instructor using their @unca.edu address.
Mathematica FREE Download from vendor portal. Requires an @unca.edu email address. Students click here. Faculty/staff click here.
Microsoft Office/Windows Discount Download from vendor portal. Requires an @unca.edu email address.
Minitab FREE Installation media can be checked out from the Circulation Desk in Ramsey Library.
SAS FREE Installation media can be checked out from the Circulation Desk in Ramsey Library.
